Job Description:

As a shop helper responsibility will encompass a diverse range of tasks such as grinding, aiding in the operation of fin tube machines and header cleaners, handling materials, and operating forklifts, assembling components, conducting hydro tests, and more. Proficiency in reading a tape measure is required.  Preferred qualifications include prior experience in a workshop setting, on a farm, or in construction.

Requirements:

Basic Fabrication shop experience required. Must be able to operate overhead cranes and power tools. Able to read and write basic shop communications. Must be able to use a shop tape measure. Must be able to learn to read shop drawings and understand bill of materials.

The Shop helper’s main duties include expediting, packaging, and processing. Other duties include sorting, labeling, and packaging products for delivery. •  MUST have tape measurement skills down to 64ths.
• Ability to lift 60+ pounds.
•  Mechanical aptitude Familiarity with hand and power tools.
•  6 months of shipping/receiving experience minimum.

Job Description:

The primary role of the Helper is to perform precision smoothing, polishing, or grinding of all component parts and products.  Read prints for required specifications and dimensions. Set up and operate standard manufacturing equipment. Deburr, buff or grind materials to specifications.  Ensure grinding wheels are dressed according to specifications so that all machines remain at peak performance.  Ensure that safety devices are operative.  Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area daily.  Complete assigned work within given time frame and according to specifications.  Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent. 

· Understanding of manufacturing tools and their proper use.

·  Strong mechanical aptitude.

·  Ability and willingness to follow directions.  

· Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.

· Verbal communication skills.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs., sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, etc.

· Work environment may include high noise areas, working at heights, confined spaces, congested work sites, shift work, duration rotations, shop setting, etc.
